Best practices and guidance for food safety
As part of the celebrations for World Food Safety Day (June 7), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) launched their new food safety toolbox – a new central repository for guidance documents based on the Codex Alimentarius General Principles of Food Hygiene.
The documents can help policymakers and food manufacturers to ensure that their programs, processes, and policies align with internationally recognized best practices using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems.
