Addressing our Carbon Footprint

Vireo Advisors is serious about addressing our carbon footprint. We have offset our 2022 carbon emissions from essential business travel and home office energy use by helping finance two projects with Native carbon offsets. Together with other businesses and individuals, our offset purchase is helping to build wind farms in Maharashtra, India, which will displace fossil fuel-fired power plants and reduce chronic air pollution, and to plant native Macaúba palms, which will regenerate pasturelands in Brazil's Atlantic Forest biomes, sequester CO2, and provide a more responsible source of palm oil.

So far, we are offsetting 101 metric tons of CO2. This is equivalent to:

·         Taking 22.5 passenger vehicles off the road for a year

·         Recycling 34.9 tons of waste

·         Converting 12.7 homes to renewable energy use
