Catalyzing Across Sectors to Advance the Bioeconomy
Catalyzing Across Sectors to Advance the Bioeconomy, CASA-Bio, is a collaboration involving stakeholders from US federal funding agencies, industries, non-profits, and the public sector research community. The group aims to identify research and development needs in the five thematic areas listed in the US Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe, and Secure American Bioeconomy.
The stakeholders involved in the collaboration have already identified a group of Representative Subtheme Challenges that span the five themes: Climate Change Solutions, Food and Agriculture Innovation, Supply Chain Resilience, Human Health, and a 5th theme called "Cross-cutting advances" that specifically includes data-sharing, responsible innovation, risk communication, biosecurity, and advances in regulatory science.
These topics are well aligned with the interests of Vireo Advisors, our partners and clients. We encourage you to join this effort. Share your ideas online (survey).
