Happy National Nanotechnology Day!

Today, Vireo Advisors is joining the NNI and nanotechnology-related organizations around the US in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act.

Some of our team-members were involved right at the start, and for more than a decade Vireo Advisors has provided leadership on the development of approaches for assessing the environmental health and safety of carbon-based nanomaterials, including cellulose nanomaterials, graphene, and carbon nanotubes.

We partner with commercial organizations bringing remarkable new materials and products to the marketplace, helping them to be proactive in establishing safety for workers, consumers, and the environment. We have participated in public and private international collaborative projects, including OECD-led projects, and those funded by P3Nano and Horizon 2020, developing methodologies, tools, and safety data.

We collaborate with professional societies such as the Tappi Nanotechnology Division to bring the latest developments in environmental health and safety information to stakeholders around the world.
