Reduce what you can, and offset the rest

As we recognize our collective responsibility to protect and preserve our planet, Vireo continues to address our carbon footprint.  We have offset our 2023 CO2 emissions from essential business travel and home office energy use by supporting the Big Smile Wind Farm at Dempsey Ridge. Together with other businesses and individuals, our offset purchase supports a project that will avoid more than 339,000 metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year—equivalent to taking approximately 71,500 gasoline-powered cars off the road. 

We encourage other companies to join us in this effort – working to reduce greenhouse emissions that result from our business activities, and offsetting those that cannot be avoided.
