The U.S. EPA has issued significant new use rules (SNURs) and record keeping requirements under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for 55 chemical substances that were the subject of pre-manufacture notices (PMNs). Included within this direct final rule was functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs; generic).

Under a proposal from KEMI, Swedish companies reporting products to the Products Register will soon need to provide further information on any nanomaterials contained within the product.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has released a new guide for entrepreneurial enterprises in the nanotechnology sector entitled Building a Safety Program to Protect the Nanotechnology Workforce: A Guide for Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises.
