Upcoming Events: June is Nano Meeting Month and Vireo is Showing Up!
EPA is holding a public comment meeting at EPA Headquarters in Washington DC on June 11, 2015 about theProposed TSCA Reporting and Recordkeeping Requirements for chemical substances when manufactured or processed as Nanoscale Materials. The article about the proposed rule co-authored with Katy Ward (link above) has generated good traffic. Vireo will be there!
The following week is NanoTech2015 June 14-17, during TechConnect, also in Washington DC. Jo Anne Shatkin is speaking on Environmentally Preferable Nanomaterials: Safe Passage from Innovation to Commercialization, an invited presentation as part of the Sustainable Nanomanufacturing track. Just for fun, it might be a hoot to use the conference bag from the 2006 NanoTech in Boston. Exciting conference!
June 22 – June 25, 2015 marks the 2015 TAPPI International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials in Atlanta, GA. Jo Anne presents “”Readying Cellulose Nanomaterials for Commercialization: Analysis of Information Needs for Globally Harmonized Standard Safety Data Sheets”
There are also two Gordon Research Conferences in June in New England on Environmental Nanotechnology and Nanotechnology and Food . But, we will be out of the area for both events, sadly.
Look forward to seeing you at one of these events!
