NNI and CPSC Publish Workshop Report on Quantifying Exposure to Nanomaterials

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has released a report summarizing the Quantifying Exposure to Engineered Nanomaterials (QEEN) from Manufactured Products, Addressing Environmental, Health and Safety Implications Workshop that was held July 7-8th, 2015 in Arlington, Virginia. Vireo Advisors participated as an invited speaker in the workshop, speaking to the topic of consumer exposures across the product life cycle.

The report summarizes presentations and discussions regarding the quantification of engineered nanomaterial exposures. It highlights current gaps in characterization tools and techniques, exposure assessment methods, and simulation/modelling of exposures. The report concludes with a suggested path forward for bridging exposure science with toxicology.
