Entries Now Accepted for the 2016 Bio-Based Innovation Awards-Americas Edition
According to Bio-Based World News, entries are now accepted for 2016 Bio-Based Innovation Awards-Americas edition. In May of 2016, Synbra and BioBTX were presented with the European Bio-Based Innovation Award. On September 26, 2016 the Bio-Based Product of the Year and Bio-Based Chemical Innovation of the Year for North, Central and South America. The focus of the award is innovation—the applicant(s) could be from a one person start-up or an international company.
2016 Categories:
Bio-Based Product of the Year
The product should be one that is currently available for purchase in North, Central, or South America and is derived from plants and other renewable agricultural, marine, and forestry materials. The product should be superior to petroleum derived products in sustainability, price, and quality.
Bio-Based Chemical Innovation of the Year
A development from biomass feedstocks involving a platform or intermediate chemicals which can be used to produce other chemicals. The focus of this award is innovation and the possibility of creating a more efficient technique, new development or method of production which can further the advancement of the industry.
