American Process Inc. and GFBiochemicals to Create World-Class Integrated Biorefinery  

The Atlanta based American Process, Inc. and Italian biochemical company,  GFBiochemicals have signed a JDA, along with other members of the consortium,  to create the largest integrated cellulosic biorefinery in the world. According to Bio-Based News, " The proposed US based biorefinery is expected to create 50-200 thousand tonnes per annum of bio-based products, addressing markets with a potential annual value of USD 10 billion." 

Both companies will actively manufacture products at the site: bio-polyols, bio-plasticizers, bio-esters, and bio-solvents, bioethanol, nanocellulosic products, and sugars from wood.
