Vireo Advisors is a WBENC Certified Woman Owned Business

Vireo Advisors, LLC is pleased to announce we've once again received Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certification as a woman-owned small business. Our President Jo Anne Shatkin said “We are thrilled to be a part of this community” which is considered the gold standard for women-owned business certification and is accepted for US governmental contracts and by more than 1,000 corporations.

The WBENC recognizes the importance of driving business. It awards organizations and individuals who have helped to reduce barriers for women-owned businesses and fuel economic growth.

According to a Key Trends Report in 2019, the number of women-owned businesses climbed 21% to a total of nearly 13 million between 2014 and 2019. Employment grew by 8% to 9.4 million. Revenue rose 21% to $1.9 trillion.
