Happy International Women’s Day from Vireo Advisors, LLC!

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we would like to highlight the women that contribute to the team at Vireo Advisors, LLC.

Megan Roberts is completing her Ph.D. at University of Toronto in polymer chemistry (with a particular interest in Applications of Renewable Nanomaterials in Cancer Drug Delivery). She has experience with functionalized CN and is currently interning with Vireo.

Leslie Hockman has industry experience working for a commercial manufacturer of cellulose nanomaterials. She is Vireo’s administrator.

Dr. Jo Anne Shatkin is an expert in novel product safety and environmental and health policy issues, with over 20 years’ experience leading projects in risk analysis, safety and regulatory policy work including numerous publications. She is founder and president of Vireo Advisors.

Patricia Hodgkinson, MSc is a food policy research consultant at Vireo with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services and food industry.

Kimberly Ong is our Nanotoxicologist and Sustainability Expert. She is an expert in developing protocols specific for novel material testing to improve reliability for risk and exposure assessment and is experienced in regulatory analysis for novel products.

Ana Diges is a senior at University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in materials science and engineering (with a particular interest in sustainable engineering solutions that preserve, develop, and grow community and environmental health). She is pursuing a certificate in global health. She is currently  interning with Vireo.
