By controlling the growth of bacterial cellulose with oxygen using “superhydrophobic interfaces”, Orlando Rojas and colleagues at Aalto University of Finland have discovered a way to use bacterial cellulose nanofibers to 3D print more realistic, safer, and personalized tissue replacement implants.
