The lower house of parliament of the French National Assembly has voted to ban the use of plastic food contact materials (FCMs) used by catering services at daycares, schools and universities serving more than 2,000 people.

The United States, Canada, and Mexico reached an agreement this month on an updated North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) known as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

Jo Anne Shatkin, as well as new team members Dr. Shaun Clancy, and Cassidy Pomeroy-Carter were part of the planning and coordination of the conference, organizing panel discussions on exposure to nanomaterials in food and food contact items, and stakeholder perspectives, respectively.

The 2018 Nanotox Conference 19-21 September is being held in Neuss, Germany, with sessions  examining the current status of hazard and exposure assessment for emerging nanomaterials.
