ECHA Publishes Form for Notifying PIC Exports to the UK after BREXIT

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published a temporary procedure for notifying Prior Informed Consent (PIC) exports to the United Kingdom after the first 35 days of the BREXIT. This temporary procedure will take effect if the UK leaves the EU as a third country without a withdrawal agreement. Exporters can notify the UK of PIC exports using a manual export notification form during these first 35 days. After the UK’s withdrawal from the EU has been confirmed, a more permanent process for notification of exports will be created. The UK is currently scheduled to leave the EU at 11 PM UK time on Friday, March 29, 2019.
