Two hairdressers with COVID-19 did not infect their clients because they wore masks!

In May, 2020 a stylist from Springfield, Missouri began exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 but continued to work with clients for 8 more days. Shortly after, their colleague began exhibiting respiratory symptoms and also continued to see clients. While both stylists saw a combined total of 139 clients while experiencing symptoms, both the stylists and the clients wore cloth face coverings and none of the clients were infected. This indicates that wearing masks can prevent transmission, and that broad implementation of face covering policies can mitigate the spread of infections, especially as stay-at-home orders are lifted and the opportunities for SARS-CoV-2 spread become more abundant.
